Our Mission & Purpose
At Courtside Hoops, our mission is to give athletes the tools they need to become better basketball players. We aim to give all players equal access to high performance coaching that will enable them to reach the next level.
We believe hard work, dedication, and determination, are the keys to success in life! We hope to promote these core values within our training and thus, create opportunities for our athletes on and off the court.
Our goal is to promote and support the positive benefits athletes attain through participation in basketball and more so, physical activity. We aim to do this by creating an inclusive learning environment, that fosters lifelong character development and helps youth succeed in achieving their goals both on and off the court.
More specifically to the long-term goals of our business, we are striving to bring a 24/7 Indoor Basketball Court of our own to the Central Coast. We hope to give back our central coast basketball community a space to work on their craft or even just a place to feel safe and happy.
Our Vision
Teamwork: Basketball thrives on the principle of teamwork. It values collaboration, communication, and trust among players. Working together towards a common goal, players learn to support and rely on one another, leveraging each other's strengths to achieve success on the court.
Discipline: Basketball teaches the value of discipline and self-control. Players must adhere to rules, regulations, and strategies while maintaining focus and composure. It requires dedication to practice, conditioning, and continuous improvement and thus fosters discipline on and off the court.
Respect: Basketball instils the importance of respecting teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, and the game itself. Players learn to appreciate the diverse talents and abilities of others, treating everyone with fairness, sportsmanship, and dignity. Respect for the game encourages important life values our athletes will use on and off the court.
Perseverance: Basketball teaches perseverance and resilience. Players encounter challenges, setbacks, and failures but learn to push through adversity, staying committed to their goals and continuously striving for improvement. This value instils a never-give-up attitude and the determination to overcome obstacles, both individually and as a team.
Sportsmanship: Basketball values good sportsmanship, promoting fair play, integrity, and ethical conduct. Players learn to compete with a spirit of fairness, treating opponents with respect, and accepting both victory and defeat gracefully. Sportsmanship emphasizes the importance of playing by the rules and embodying the true essence of the game, and life.
